奥巴梅扬和巴塞之间，将会签下一份一年半的合同。据《世界体育报》报道称，奥巴梅扬接受了大幅度降薪。在本赛季后半段，奥巴梅扬的月薪竟然只有5000欧元（约2.3万令吉），这将使得巴塞可以在西甲工资帽的限制之下为奥巴梅扬完成注册。巴塞下赛季工资帽将会大幅度上涨，如果届时奥巴梅扬留队的话，他的工资也会得到相应的大幅度提高。

奥巴梅扬如今32岁，他出道于AC米兰青训营，他在第戎、里尔、摩纳哥、圣艾蒂安、多特蒙德都效力过。在17/18赛季冬季转会期中，奥巴梅扬加盟阿申纳。
迄今为止，奥巴梅扬为阿申纳出场163次打进92球。在本赛季中，奥巴梅扬出场15次打进7球。但由于纪律问题，奥巴梅扬被阿申纳封杀，他因此最终决定告别枪手加盟巴塞。
