灰熊的落败，也让球队的美国职篮（NBA）连胜纪录停在11连胜。灰熊首发阵容中只有莫兰特（19分8助攻5篮板）和贝恩（16分6篮板）得分上双，独行侠的东契奇交出“大三元”数据，攻下27分12篮板10助攻、小哈达威16分、克里斯和布伦森各得15分，后者还有9助攻5篮板5抄截进账。
双方开场后就陷入拉锯战，莫兰特“3分打”助灰熊半场以55比50领先，第3节独行侠众将凭藉2波攻势（15比6、13比3）抢过领先权，以84比73进入末节。
