天马纪念馆建筑设计宏伟庄严，6层的裙楼有偌大的活动空间和祈福大殿，两端是9层骨灰殿，可容纳20万个壁龛，是全国最大的追思纪念馆。

但要将天马纪念馆只是定位成先人长眠的生命馆，却又不太符合这顶级生命艺术殿堂的服务宗旨。

各宗教文化对殡葬的传统要求，不能忘。

现代人想零负担举办庄严葬礼，得满足。

贫困人家对葬礼费用不知所措，需帮忙。

亲人想要安心追思亲人的空间，要做到。

先说为何取名为“天马”吧！

在中国神话中，天马是可以腾飞的神兽，古代称之为 “乘黄”，据说黄帝就是骑乘这神兽升天成仙。

汉代人因此塑造了“天马”的艺术形象，腾云驾雾携带逝者的灵魂飞升天国。

这与天马纪念馆有着相同的使命，致力提供最完善和专业的殡葬服务，让亲友安心地送逝者步上“飞升之路”。

回馈甲洞和巴生谷人

那为何选址甲洞呢？

创办人李益昌是道道地地的甲洞人，因为发念造福地方社会，而踏进自己从来没有想过的全新领域。

他深感时下殡葬费高昂，而且甲洞和邻近地区华人居民约150万人，但环顾整个地区就只有一家殡仪馆。

而且，该区义山的墓地已买少见少，很多乡亲被逼选在更远的墓园长眠。

秉持着回馈老乡之情，他毅然将手上这块持有约20年的地皮，转换土地用途，兴建天马纪念馆。

他希望纪念馆可让雪隆区华人尤其是甲洞人，享有高素质又可负担的殡葬服务。

庄严慈禅完美融合
素雅空间营造大气

“善终”，是华人追求的最后目标，天马纪念馆的建筑设计以此为本，用庄、严、慈、禅四大主轴，营造祥和、自在、轻松的气场和氛围。

天马纪念馆与国际建筑设计名师合作，将传统文化、现代科技和建筑美学，平衡而自然地结合于天马纪念馆中。

其首席设计师陈富万介绍说，天马纪念馆的室内设计是传统和现代元素完美融合出“禅风”来体现；特意挑高楼顶的空间感、大量的自然采光结合音乐艺术，营造出祥和却不失庄严气派的格调。
同时，建筑线条简洁流畅，搭配素雅清淡的色调，其中的文化意蕴，体现出超然脱俗的意境。

“我们运用空间感来体现大气，而不是用饰面堆砌出来。人们在天马纪念馆中会因为空间的宽敞，感觉更加舒适自在。”

东南亚最大地藏王菩萨

“宽敞”是这座纪念馆注重的元素之一，16个设备齐全的追思厅，每间都至少可容纳300人。

从第7层到第15层的骨灰殿，也毫不吝啬地运用足够的空间设计来消除拥堵的感觉。

可容纳1000人的祈福大殿进一步地体现了“宽敞”的设计，大殿内供奉着一尊近50尺高、东南亚最大的地藏王菩萨铜像。

大殿内以中式古建筑人字屋檐的建构特色，檐面镂空雕刻着地藏经文，让众生参拜祭祀，瞻礼赞叹。

专业团队 客制化服务

殡葬的学问之多，常让许多现代人不知所措。

不同的文化和宗教信仰，有着不同的生死观念。

民俗宗教相信鬼神和阴阳世界、儒家推崇“死则以礼葬祭，慎终追远”、道家主张“生命如气之聚散”、佛教强调因缘果报、基督和天主教等深信“死亡为永生的开始”。

他说，天马纪念馆未来还会设立慈善文化基金，帮助低收入群，为往生亲属安设安息灵位。也因“以客为尊”，纪念馆中不吝提供各种额外的贴心服务，包括大堂、三圣殿、展示厅、多功能厅、餐厅茶馆等。

天马纪念馆还有多达1000个停车位，堪称全国最多停车位的纪念馆。

以绿色建筑指标来建造的天马纪念馆，采取现代化的灵骨殿模式，主要是以诵经念佛的方式为先者祈福，还结合了高科技元素，提供更完善舒适的服务。

现代手法传承中华文化

在李益昌看来，传统文化需要传承，但并非墨守成规，而是吸取当中精华。

在他看来，新的葬礼也必须保留传统祭葬礼中的人文精神，再结合现代人偏向简洁化和多元化的思想观念。

比如说，由于尊重民间宗教风俗和家属深层的心理元素，该馆允许家属在进行祭拜活动时在室外焚烧祭品。

但他认为，整体的建设，会以美化环境、净化地球为先、以环境绿化、节省能源、自然采光的元素为辅。“天马纪念馆提供人性化和客制化的服务，加上平价的殡葬费和舒适自在的环境氛围，符合现代人的需求，这就是我们看到的前景。”
